| |
Once all design considerations are determined and your pool border has been staked in the ground, the Janal excavation crew digs and hand-shapes your custom designed pool. A grading is created to ensure your pool, patio, and backyard area are level and safe for water drainage.
2. Plumbing & Steel |
| |
The steel cage and internal rough plumbing for the shotcrete shell are tied, shaped, and formed to the dimensions of your pool. The steel rebar creates a reinforced structure to ensure the lifetime durability of your pool. The internal plumbing of your pool is installed and run to
the proposed equipment location. |
3. Concrete (Shotcrete) |
| |
A ready-mix concrete is delivered to the site where it is pneumatically applied under great pressure to bond tightly around the steel reinforcing rods. This results in a reinforced steel and concrete structure of superior strength. |
4. Filter Equipment |
| |
Your pool filtration equipment is then placed on a pre-cast concrete slab in the designated area. Then all components are connected together and pressure tested. Equipment includes such items as: pool pump, filter, heater, automatic chlorine feeder, air blower, and electrical panel. |
5. Coping & Tile |
| |
Experienced masons create a look, style, and feel using a combination of ceramic tile from NPTG or IPTUSA and bullnose brick, flagstone, or pre-cast coping to compliment your home and backyard. This stage also includes any extra tile trim accents, water features such as sheer descent waterfalls or mosaic tile inlays. |
6. Utilities (electric & gas) |
| |
Licensed electricians hook into your main electric service and connect your filtration, heating, and lighting systems. An inspection of the final work will be needed. If your pool has a gas-fueled heater, gas lines are installed at this time.
7. Decking & Fencing |
| |
The decking that surrounds your pool can be concrete, brick, flagstone or combination of these materials. This is the final stage before the interior pool finish is applied and is ready to be filled. Most communities require that you provide and install a fence and self-latching gate around your
new pool. Your Janal sales representative will help to familiarize you with the Mid-Atlantic requirements. |
8. Plaster & Waterproofing |
| |
Our crews will now apply a waterproof marble-lite plaster finish. Standard plaster is white, however, a variety of colors and finished are available including Marquis and PebbleTec. |
9. Water & Starting Up |
| |
Water can either be trucked in or taken from your garden hose to fill your pool. Once filled, Janal will come to your home to start up your equipment and show you exactly how the equipment works and what chemicals are needed. This is the time to ask questions on maintaining your pool. |
